The system in place to monitor and evaluate the provision of MFC Adoption includes:
Half yearly reports are provided to the Management Group on adoption services
There are six monthly Adoption Panel liaison meetings, which will include the independent Chair of the Adoption Panel and the Manager of the Adoption Agency.
Individual supervision by the manager of each assessment of prospective adopters and formal consideration of the mid assessment review is an agency requirement
Prospective adopters are made aware of MFC Adoption complaints process and encouraged to give feedback at all stages
Feedback forms are completed following adopters information evenings, preparation groups and after attendance at panel
The local adopters' support groups provide the Agency with adopters views and suggested areas for development
The Adoption Panel has a role in monitoring and evaluating every case coming to Panel, including the quality of the assessment, its timeliness and any issues of delay
All staff are provided with a copy of the National Standards and the National Minimum Standards and associated Regulation and a copy of the Adoption and Children Act and their understanding of these is monitored
All staff are regularly supervised and a record made of each supervision session
