A new book might just be the perfect stocking filler for Christmas and at the same time help MFC Foundation.
Following on from the very popular The Bridge That George Built, Football Boots And Dancing Shoes – What George Did Next, is written by local author Rachael Wong and illustrated by Ann-Marie Anderson.
As George and Leila get older and become more independent, they face a new set of challenges. George struggles with money matters and Leila finds problems staying safe online. Both children experience friendship issues, made worse by the new boy who’s trying to steal George’s place in the school football team. Can an old secret of Grandad’s provide the key to bringing everyone together?
Boro’s own George, George Friend, comments: “What George Did Next is a fantastic sequel to The Bridge That George Built. Enjoyable and educational, this book is written specifically for a slightly older age group. The story covers important Year 5 and 6 PSHE topics, while incorporating the magic of football and the wonderful place that is Teesside.”
The book is available now from the club shop, MFC Retail at the stadium, priced £4.95. Or buy online by clicking here
All money raised from the sale of the book will go to MFC Foundation.
